Three lakes are nestled into the 3,850-acre park and provide visitors the opportunity to soak up the sun on their swim beach shores and paddle the calm waters.
The park was once the center of the iron industry in Middle Tennessee.
The park's namesake, Montgomery Bell, formed one of the largest iron industries in Tennessee.
Iron was once thought to be more valuable than gold and was a very lucrative industry at the time.
Visitors can experience a natural retreat at the newly renovated Lodge inside Montgomery Bell.
The fully remodeled 117-room Lodge sits on the banks of Lake Acorn and provides guests with the opportunity to escape to peace and quiet while being just minutes away from the interstate.
The renovated Lodge features modern rooms, a new full-service restaurant and bar open to park visitors, and 6,000 square feet of flexible event space.
The Lodge is the perfect place to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city--enjoy lounging by the outdoor pool or kick back with a craft beer in the lounge.
The park also has eight environmentally-friendly modern cabins available for rent near Lake Acorn.
The park's campground can accommodate campers up to 60 feet on most electrical sites.
The campground has on-site sewer at 40 sites and can accommodate small pop-up campers and large RVs.
There are 94 campsites available at the park.
We are looking for hard working and highly organized candidates for the position of event staff.
Event staff is responsible for working under the instructions of an event manager.
Event staff needs to constantly be on their feet and attend to the many needs of event-goers, requiring physical stamina and high energy levels.
Responsibilities:
- Perform custodial duties such as cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and dusting - Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas, including restrooms, common areas, and offices - Use commercial cleaning equipment and supplies to ensure high-quality results - Perform floor care tasks such as buffing, waxing, and polishing - Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly - Follow established procedures for sanitizing and disinfecting surfaces - Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed - Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary Maintain the grounds (Trash, weeds), leaf blow, sweep, clear spider webs, maintain spillway feature, empty indoor and outdoor trash cans, Landscaping around the cabins and lodge Unclog guest room and common area sinks and toilets TV/Remote Issues Minor Maintenance Repairs Changing Lightbulbs General guest assistance with minor maintenance repairs Basic PTAC/Thermostat Minor Wall Patching/Painting End of Night Shut Down Procedures (Pool, Lights, Locking Doors, etc.
) Minor Furniture repairs/adjustments Other associated tasks as assigned Maintain the cleanliness of an assigned area, common areas, and corridors.
Perform various maintenance and housekeeping duties as requested by the department manager, such as cleaning the restrooms, corridors, common areas, and performing basic maintenance when necessary.
Assist event set up staff as needed Remove trash in all assigned areas, dust mopping and wet mopping floors, and sanitizing restrooms.
Vacuum carpet and remove spots from carpet.
Collect and remove trash and refuse from assigned areas.
Clean windows and stainless steel as needed.
Skills:
- Experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred - Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation - Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision - Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards - Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently - Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift/move heavy objects if required Note:
